I actually did make it out of the house last week after all, and it was worth it! I went to see the New Spring/Summer Collection of Austrian handbag designer, Eva Blut, and the sculptural work of artist Patrick Rampelotto. Of course, the bags were everything i had expected them to be, well-made and functional with an array of new colors, materials, and plenty of possibilities. Some colors I find quite daring for spring, but great for summer, like the combination of black & orange, which I liked a lot as they are the colors of my favorite holiday (i’m a fool for a ghoul). Eva also introduced a new shape to the collection, the Bucket Bag, great for those who dream of sailing the high seas… or the Neusiedler See. Rampelotto’s sculptures and lamps were also noteworthy and whimsical adding a nice ambiance to the evening. As if that weren’t enough, i was made acquainted to a Californian and a new cocktail. All-in-all, it’s good to go outside. “It’s in the bag” pretty much means, it’s a sure thing, it’s a winner – well-done!
All the photos are taken by me except for the sculpture, courtesy of Eva Blut’s fb page.
